DescriptionCDK6, cyclin-dependent kinase 6, is regulated by cyclin D to moderate the cell-cycle transition from G1 to S phase (PMID: 26658964) through phosphorylation of RB1 and subsequent activation of E2F transcription factors (PMID: 26315616). Overexpression and/or amplification of CDK6 has been reported in lymphoma, leukemia, and in salivary gland, bladder, pancreas, colon breast, and prostate cancers (PMID: 26658964).
